WriQ How-to Articles
What is the WriQ Score?
The WriQ Score is a Texthelp developed metric that allows parents, students, and teachers to objectively gauge a piece (or pieces) of writing. There are three data points that make up the WriQ Score - Accuracy (measured by Correct minus Incorrect Word Sequences), Vocabualry Maturity (as measured by the vocab age), and Unique Word Score (total count of unique words used in the doc). Over time, the WriQ Score gives not just deeper insight into a student's writing, but also allows for comparison to national norms, and a strong predictive value of future writing success (ie SAT's, State Exams, etc).
