Use ClaroRead without a mouse
While ClaroRead’s toolbar is easy to use with your mouse, you can access many of its functions using keyboard shortcuts instead. This is useful if you don’t have great mouse control, for example, or if you simply want to keep your hands on the keyboard.
These are some of ClaroRead’s keyboard shortcuts:
F7 and F8 – Play and Stop
Shift+F7 – Read out the current sentence (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Acrobat)
Ctrl+F7 – Keep reading until you press F8 (Word only)
F9 – Check spelling
F10 – Show homophones (Word only)
Ctrl+F8 – Mute or unmute all speech
F1 to F5 – Complete word prediction
Ctrl+Shift+F7 – Turn word prediction on or off
