How to create multiple language and settings profiles in Read&Write

  • Settings

If you are a multi-language user, you can create settings profiles to easily switch back and forth between languages in Read&Write.

For example, if you often switch between using Read&Write in French and in English, you can create a profile for each.

Open the Settings menu, and click Profiles at the top.

Click the Plus sign, give your profile a name (for example “French”), and then apply any of the settings you want on that profile. For example, you might set the Language and Features to French and choose a French voice.

Now you can easily switch between your profiles by clicking the three dots and hovering over Profiles.

Streamlining settings management for Admins

To address the challenges of inconsistent settings between devices and provide a more streamlined experience for students, Read&Write for Google Chrome now gives admins the opportunity to deploy pre-configured settings profiles. By exporting and deploying these profiles through the Admin Console, educators can ensure that every student's Read&Write experience is tailored to their needs, regardless of the device they use.

This feature is particularly valuable for schools and districts transitioning from Co:Writer or Snap&Read, as familiar settings can be easily transferred to Read&Write, minimizing disruption for students.
