Using prediction, Equatio users can create commonly used roots. To create a cube root, type in ‘cu’ and select cube root using prediction. You may also type ‘nth’ and select 'nth' root and you may input your own numeral in the gray box provided. You may also access the more button, and then the symbols drawer to select the 'roots' button.
