Every word has a reading age that can contribute to the Overall Reading Age of any body of text. Writing in a way that’s simple, short and clear makes content that is easier for everyone. The lower your reading age score, the easier it will be to understand. In the Editor, select a reading age using the slider and toggle on to have words with that reading age highlighted in the text. Replacing words with a high reading age will help to lower the overall reading age.
